del CONICET en la Universidad Austral, junto con colegas de otras instituciones, identificaron a la prote\u00edna SMYD2 como un posible blanco terap\u00e9utico para el hepatocarcinoma (HCC), el c\u00e1ncer primario de h\u00edgado m\u00e1s com\u00fan.<\/p>\n<p>Este tumor suele aparecer en personas con cirrosis o enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas cr\u00f3nicas, vinculadas a hepatitis virales, alcoholismo o trastornos metab\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n<p>El hallazgo abre una nueva v\u00eda de investigaci\u00f3n para desarrollar f\u00e1rmacos que frenen el crecimiento tumoral y activen las defensas inmunol\u00f3gicas del organismo, ofreciendo esperanza en el tratamiento de una enfermedad que avanza silenciosa y suele diagnosticarse en etapas
